On Saturday 29th August over 1500 people came together at The Centre for a fantastic family fun day. As part of the annual national Storylines’ celebration of New Zealand children’s literature, Kerikeri hosts a biennial event, bringing children and their families face to face with the people who write, research, and illustrate the books the children read every day.

Music from A Trifle Bazaar added greatly to the atmosphere of the day and Jeannie Skinner the Northland Co-ordinator for Storlines 2009 responded with the following comment after the event:

“Your music was PERFECT for the day joyful and lively and relaxing…
Many people commented on how much they enjoyed it. Your costumes were fabulous, your dancing with the children enchanting, your leading of the parades magnificent !”
